A Buying Self-Test

Before committing to a purchase, give yourself this self-test to determine whether your purchase would be a wise decision.

1. Do I really need this?
2. Is the price reasonable?
3. Is this the best time of year to buy?
4. If this is a bargain, is it a current or suitable model?
5. If it's on sale, is the price a true sale?
6. Am I sure no less-expensive item can be substituted?
7. Am I sure there are no major disadvantages?
8. If excessive in price, will it truly satisfy an inner need?
9. Have I comparison-shopped for price and quality?
10. Have I allowed for this item in my spending plan?
11. Do I know the seller's reputation?
12. Does the seller offer any special services with this item?

Scoring: 9-11 yes answers: Consider buying the item. 6-8 yes answers: Think again. Fewer than 6: Forget it! (Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Sacramento, California, www.cccssacto.org, "Library of Helpful Money Tips, Controlling Impulse Buying").

What is LOVE?

When I was reading the article in Reader's Digest about "Are You Tired of chasing Love?", I suddenly remember that tommorow is already Valentine's Day. Many people are busy planning where to celebrate and some are still seeking or chasing for a date.
When was the last time you said to your sweatheart "I Love You"? Did you really mean it? What does Love means to you?
Love is not based of what you look like, real Love is Hardwork, can wait endlessly. Love is patient, kind. It does not envy, it does not boast. it is not proud, it is not rude, not self seeking and keeps no record of wrong. Love has many meaning it depends only to the person who feel real Love.
According to Vera Nicholas-Gervais, the secret to finding true Love is not trying so hard becaused it can set us up for disappointment. Instead, focus on self-improvement.

money, money, money!

Today money is very important to everybody because if we don`t have money we can not make things possible. Right? Money can buy everything even man's principle, that's what we called "kapit sa patalim" because they need money or they are not content in what they have. If you want tips on how to spend your money in a right way just follow this ideas from the book of ''our daily journey.''

  • First call; Decide what tithe or offering you want to give to the lord each month and stick to it.
  • Write all; Track where your money is going by writing down each expenditure. After doing this for a while, you'll be able to see some fat that needs to be cut out.
  • Budget wall; Put together a budget and stick to it. Like a solid wall, don't go outside the amounts you have established.
  • Save tall ; Build up an over-increasing amount of saving, even if you are able to deposit only a little each month.
  • Debt small; No debt is best! Cut up the credit cards [they are a temptation] and resist making impulse buys.
  • No mall; If you know you have trouble with spending too much, don't go near the stores that are your places of temptation. Flee!

Money is hard to find but easy to spend. So spend wisely;
